Modern Mien, Central Seattle

If I were to build a house for myself, it would be thoroughly modern. Angular. Like this one, maybe. I especially like the deep eaves and rectangular shapes that comprise it.

Located in the very center of Seattle, this brand new home commands a stunning northeasterly view from its corner lot.

Open floor plan on the main level features sweeping vistas from large windows all around.

Interesting hickory hardwoods throughout. I believe these might be the first hickory floors I’ve seen in our marketplace. They’re sort of gnarled looking and exude a cool, indie sensibility.

The master has its own corner window-on-the-world and a thoroughly inviting spa-like bath; the shower is substantial, tiled in white.

While touring it yesterday with other brokers from my office, there was much talk about the perfection of the minimalist staging. A decorator that works with the architect did it, Playhouse Design Group. Very smart.

1436 26th Avenue, Seattle. 2300 square foot interior on a 3366 square foot lot. Three bedrooms, three and one-half baths. Asking price, $699,950.
