Ship Canal Waterfront

Funny how the Monday report keeps migrating to Tuesday, isn’t it? Ah, Summer. You are a temptress.

It’s a busier August than I can remember in years. The energy in our Seattle city market seems upbeat, but, like is also true of our summer weather, it wavers.

We had six offers reported from last week at our meeting yesterday, multiple offers on three of them. St. Joseph, patron saint of home and family is still being used as a remedy by some, though. We believe in his curative powers! So, plenty of wavering still going on out there in the trenches.

Our office also got to take in a seldom seen point of view at Presha’s new listing in Ballard. Located at the very end of the ship canal where it meanders into Shilshole Bay, this contemporary home in a small enclave of waterfront homes has 40 feet of low-bank waterfront and breathtaking southwesterly views past Magnolia to the Puget Sound and beyond. Breathtaking! I badly wanted to leave off my shoes and linger.

5719 Seaview Avenue Northwest, Seattle 98107. Four bedrooms, three baths. High quality finishes throughout. Spacious and light. 4610 interior square feet on a 3750 square foot lot. Attached, two-car garage. Walk to restaurants along miles of waterfront vistas. A dream! Offered at $1,748,000.
