Some Realtor Job Descriptions

Sometimes, my work is a little gritty, like yesterday when I was called upon to photograph and measure a storage locker in a condominium garage.

And sometimes my work is a downright glamorous, like today when I was able to preview three historic mansions for sale in the Harvard-Belmont district on Capitol Hill, with prices ranging from $3.8 million to $10 million. As you might imagine, I saw a whole lot of Wow. Elegant, timeless, if only these walls could talk Wow.

I won’t deny that the previewing activity is probably a bit more delightful than the measuring activity when all is considered; it’s more social for one thing. But I happen to like doing both pretty equally.

Does this make me a real estate geek?
