Required from the Rooftops

One way to get a view in West Seattle is to get up high! I’ve been noticing lately that roof top decks have become de rigueur in new construction townhomes throughout Seattle. They provide outside space which is more and more at a premium, and, sometimes, they provide views all around.

Bright Blue

Thank you for stepping into the new year along with me. I have it on good authority that it is going to be sweet, easy to believe when the brightest, most hopeful day of all actually is bright, with blue skies from dawn to dusk. Magnificent! 2016, you’re looking very fine from here. The Saint, cool neighborhood […]

Bewitched by Bungalow

During the holidays, happily, we can be reminded that good things come in small packages. So, Lo! and behold the sweetest little bungalow listed just today and right in time.   Inviting formal rooms live large.   And period details abound: fir floors, three panel doors, high ceilings.   The vintage bath features claw foot tub […]

While Waiting

This is the excruciating time between submitting an offer and waiting to hear our fate. The house is straight and solid, the neighborhood is quiet, the price is good; I expect they are reviewing about eight offers on it RIGHT NOW. I know my buyers are anxious, and I am anxious, too. We can try […]

Splendid Spring

Don’t be crabby about completely insane real estate market. It’s spring! Blue skies, warm temperatures, light until late. I get pretty excited when the sun comes into my northwest facing windows in the evening. For a limited time only. At my building, we just did a little spring planting. Lots of us got into it. It’s gorgeous all […]

Seeing the City

An exceptionally active market means putting many miles on the odometer. I visit dozens of homes every week, all across the city previewing, showing, structural inspections, market analyses. It’s not drudgery. Not at all. Never. Seattle is spectacular. Even though we feel a little embattled at times, and caught up in a whirlwind, even with our unimaginably competitive […]
